She has average ability and is switching to the dirt following three straight second place finishes at this level on the grass. Working well for this attempt, she meets a weak field and should break her maiden in this spot.
2nd pick: #6 (Tequila Sunrise) (3-1) - Competitive in all four starts at this level, she finished 4th last out while having some traffic issues approaching the stretch. She had gone 3-0-2-1 prior to that and stalker enters off a sharp half-mile work March 18.
3rd pick: #3 (Fantastic Girl) (6-1) - Another expensive ($550,000) filly, she's been freshened up since Jan. 28 when she raced evenly here in a grass sprint at this level. Competitive in one of three on the dirt last summer/fall, she's bred to like this longer distance.
4th pick: #2 (Tell Your Mama) (5-2) - Three-year-old rallied to miss by a 'head' here at this level and distance March 2. The field was weak and small (five), so she needs to do better for any shot at winning this.
