Top pick: #5 (MR. SATURDAYNIGHT) - Sharp win last out facing slightly tougher going a 1/16th farther. Race was his second off a 5 month layoff and came with blinkers added. Four-year-old gelding has a nice maintenance drill since and he has a flexible running style. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Gallant Gent) - Drops way down in price, goes turf to dirt, and trainer Craig Lewis removes his blinkers after a one race experiment. He has a win in his past on real dirt and last fall finished third in the Pomona Derby at Fairplex. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Wild Hombre) - Lightly raced and speedy, he has the rail and will be trying a two-turn distance for the first time. Takes them as far as he can on the front end.
