Top pick: #3 (MASTERS CIRCLE) (4-1) - Lightly-raced, he finished a non-threatening third here at this tag and trip June 12. It was his first since late October and he spent the first 2-furlongs racing very hard to handle. He's worked since, is brought back quickly, and trainer Mark Glatt has him making back-to-back starts for the first time.
2nd pick: #10 (Noble Hawk) (9-2) - Very fast from the gate, Golden Gate shipper is dropping into a claimer for the first time, switching from turf to dirt, and shortening up in distance. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Soul Crusher) (7-2) - He has some finishing punch and should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into. Five-year-old has been competitive in three of four starts when in for a tag and last out finished second here at this level going 6-furlongs. Win candidate.
4th pick: #5 (Sharprado C S) (10-1) - He finished second when debuting at Sam Houston Downs in early March. Sent here after that, he's tired in both local starts facing a bit tougher. Freshened up since May 10, he's working nicely and is in the dangerous barn of Pete Miller.
