2nd pick: #5 (Sweet Sonny) (6-1) - This daughter of 'Twirling Candy' sold for $250K as a 2yo in training in April of 2019. In her debut here May 16, she rushed up after a slow break to be near a quick pace before weakening to finish 4.5 lengths in back of 'Moonhall Milly.' She's worked three times since, and trainer Brian Koriner has won with five of 23 (26%) second time starters in 2019-20.
3rd pick: #9 (Vegas Palm) (4-1) - One of two mares entered, she rallied to finish a 1/2-length in front of 'Moonhall Milly' and four ahead of 'Sweet Sonny.' Stalker fits, but as a 5yo she has no room for upside at this point.
