He went 4-1-3-0 here this past winter and has been sharp in six of eight overall racing on the dirt. He draws a tough outside post but has enough positional speed to avid a wide trip. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Native Ride) (9-2) - NEW gelding is racing second back from a just under a year's layoff and first off a Victor Garcia claim. Stalker raced both wide and evenly here for twice this price tag in his return start May 5. Besides having him gelded, new trainer drops him in class and has put a trio of sharp works into him.
3rd pick: #4 (Lucky Shoes to Win) (7-2) - He's dropping a bit in class and is shortening up a 1/16th of a mile. He raced evenly here going nine furlongs facing a bit tougher May 14, but had won three of his previous four starts here. Speed/stalker is an obvious threat.
4th pick: #6 (Being There) (3-1) - No-speed type rallied to finish second here at this price tag and distance May 8. Veteran will need some pace help in order to avoid another minor award.
