2nd pick: #4 (Tim's Go Girl) (3-1) - Kitchingman trained filly raced between horses and held gamely to finish fourth of nine, beaten just under 5 lengths when debuting here just two weeks ago. She took her share of money that day and she has a shot at giving "Hall of Fame" rider Pat Valenzuela his first win at this meet. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Girly Ghost) (7-2) - One of three fillies making their debut, grey 3-year-old is in a very good first out barn (Jeff Bonde 24%) and her works are steady. Home-bred need not be anything special to factor against this crew.
4th pick: #6 (General With a J) (20-1) - She's in a barn (Keith Craigmyle) that wins lots of races every year (60 of 347 in 2013) and has won with two of it's last five first-time-starters. Working nicely at the trainer's home-base of Los Alamitos, and must be left in the mix.
