2nd pick: #6 (Wild Edie) (5-2) - Home bred rallied from close range to finish second here at this tag and trip Dec. 29. Speed/stalker is clearly improving and is a win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Pure Sugar) (8-1) - She's been idle since debuting two months ago at Del Mar in the same race as 'Line Drive'. Away slowly that afternoon, she raced evenly while never really involved while finishing 5.5 lengths in back of that rival. Filly moves off the rail and should improve in her 2nd attempt.
4th pick: #4 (Artistic Ministry) (5-1) - Tommy Town home bred shortens back up in distance after finishing a distant pace-setting second going a mile at this level Dec. 15 at Los Alamitos Dec. 15. It was a nice move forward off her Del Mar debut Nov. 18 but she needs to do better for anything more than a minor award.
