Daughter of 'Candy Ride' has some impressive works on her tab and she's from the barn of Hall of Famer Rick Mandella. Newly turned 4-year-old meets a below average group for the level and is the likely winner if she runs as fast in the afternoon as she does in the a.m.
2nd pick: #4 (Back Beauty) (5-1) - Speedy sort ships back from Golden Gate Fields where she finished fourth in a pair of starts on the Tapeta surface there. She's lost ground during the stretch run in all five appearances, but may hold on much better if she gets an easy early advantage.
3rd pick: #1 (Pegasus Princess) (6-1) - One of two entered by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, she raced evenly when debuting at this level and distance Dec 10 at Los Alamitos. She's worked three times since and breaks from the rail. Barn wins at a solid 31% rate 2nd time out.
4th pick: #3 (Zip N Bayou) (5) - The second of the Hollendorfer fillies, she's been on the sidelines since March 14. This will be her first ever on the dirt and 4-year-old by 'City Zip' has been working steadily since late November. May need a race or two.
