Top pick: #7 (DREAM CAUGHT) - Gelding was reported to be a runner before making his debut in a grass sprint at Hollywood four weeks ago. He raced between horses much of the way, and finished evenly to check-in 4th of 10, beaten just under 4 lengths. Breeder/trainer Caesar Dominguez brings him back quickly, adds blinkers, and switches him from the infield to the dirt. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Oh Righty) - Heavily bet when debuting here last March, gelding by "Rio Verde" finished second in a 2-furlong "straight-away" contest. On the sidelines since, he's training fast at Hollywood Park for his return and will race with blinkers on. The presence of noted front-end rider Marty Pedroza suggests that they'll try and win this at the break.
3rd pick: #3 (Go to the Pulpit) - He's been competitive in all three outings, including a third-place finish here at this level and distance on Oct. 10. Trainer Mike Puype has worked him four times since Dec. 11 and this home-bred is a major player this afternoon.
