Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (HOLIDAY IN NEWPORT) (5-2) - She's cutting back in distance after tiring while racing a bit "rank" last out when finishing fourth going a mile for a $20K tag. Drops, has a recent work, and her flexible style is a plus.

2nd pick: #4 (Queen of the Hill) (4-1) - Grey mare by "Salt Lake" finished second here at this level on Jan. 19th in her best overall since early August. Fits nicely, has a recent work, and 5yo is a win candidate.

3rd pick: #1 (Clearly Confused) (7-2) - She's gone 4-1-2-1 since being claimed by Bob Diodoro in late October, and was a winner here at this distance for a $12.5K tag Jan. 18th. Stalker draws the rail, is in shape, and must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #5 (Funny Gal) (5-1) - Cheaper sort, has "figures" that are consistent, but are a bit "lite" to win this. That said, she comes off a second place finish facing weaker on Jan. 10th after a pair of even efforts at this level.
