Top pick: #1 (EQUITANA) - Talented Brazilian-bred mare chased and tired badly when making her North American debut here on the main-track Jan 1st in a small stakes. Nice "prep" for this as she hadn't run in 7 1/2 months. Moves to the grass today and that's her favorite surface (10-5-1-0). Stretches-out in distance, has the inside post, and this 5-year-old defeated males last May in one of the most prestigious stakes run in her native country. Looks all set.
2nd pick: #6 (Imperialistic Diva) - Irish-bred has raced herself back into shape and moves up in class folowing a score at Hollywwod facing weaker five weeks ago. She has enough speed to not get "buried" early on and is a win threat down the stretch.
3rd pick: #4 (Burg Berg) - Another who has good early speed and she's only one of two entered that has won on this surface in the past. She used the same dirt stakes as "Equitana" as a prep for this, and is a thraeat at a square price.
