2nd pick: #7 (Airfoil) (2-1) - The morning line favorite enters off a pace-chasing second place finish facing a bit tougher going 7 furlongs at Del Mar Sept. 2. Claimed that day by Mark Glatt for $12,500, he drops him a bit and shortens him up a furlong. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Royal F J ) (5-1) - Not many horses stay around to make a hundred starts, but this 10-year-old reached that mark July 20 at Del Mar. Even-paced type is working steadily for his first since then and is capable of impacting especially if 'Heir the Storm' isn't ready off a six month layoff.
