Top pick: #2 (DREAM POLICE) (4-1) - Speedy sort ran well here at this tricky distance on the grass Oct. 10. It was his best from a figure angle and he's breaking just off the inside. Purchased for $75,000 this past March, he gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Masters Circle) (8-1) - Gelding was involved in a speedy pace-duel when debuting in a dirt sprint here on June 20th. On the sidelines since, trainer Mark Glatt has him working fast and this juvenile is by a solid grass sire "Stormy Atlantic." Think he'll be competitive at a square price.
3rd pick: #5 (Jimbaran Bay) (10-1) - Colt is moving up in class and going dirt to turf in his first off a Vann Belvoir claim (a strong 25% winning angle). He just missed here on the dirt going a mile for a $40K tag Oct. 9 and this colt can impact today at long odds.
4th pick: #8 (Bolo) (5-1) - Debuting colt has been working impressively since late August and is from a capable first out barn (Carla Gaines 15%). He draws outside of the speed types and that's to his advantage.
5th pick: #7 (Diamond Majesty) (9-2) - Colt is by "California Chrome's" sire "Lookin At Lucky" and showed fine early speed while hanging on gamely to finish third here when debuting in a dirt sprint June 7th. He's worked four times during October and is from a more than capable barn (Pat Biancone).
