Top pick: #5 (SENOR RAIN) (2-1) - Veteran speed/stalker finished a pace-setting second, going 7-furlongs when facing a bit tougher Sept. 20 at Los Al. Back in top shape following a half-years absence and he's done well here in the past 6-2-2-0.
2nd pick: #6 (Kafister) (9-5) - He hasn't run since an easy win here on March 30th. Claimed that day by Dave Bernstein for $20K, he's working fast for his return, has Bejarano aboard, and this 4-year-old gelding loves it here 4-3-1-0. Could win this if ready.
3rd pick: #2 (Awesome Indy) (9-2) - He moves up in class after a nice win at Los Al to clear the 3l condition. These are tougher but he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #4 (McKenzie's Way) (10-1) - Not a win threat, but he has a solid late kick in a race where the pace could be fast and/or contested. May grab a share at a big price.
