Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (SUTTON'S SMILE) (3-1) - No surprise that filly by turf and synthetics specialist 'Paddy O'Prado' improved when she was switched to the grass in her second start. Going a mile on the Del Mar lawn at this level, she stalked while wide, made a strong bid to reach the front, then weakened late to finish 2nd. Freshened up since, trainer Phil D'Amato has worked her a half-dozen times since. With Talamo at Belmont this afternoon, Raf Bejarano gets aboard.
2nd pick: #1 (Corp de Ballet) (20-1) - Long shot has shown little to this point in a pair of dirt sprints. Bred for turf success, daughter of 'Speightstown' moves to the grass and runs a bit longer this afternoon. A quick 5-furlong work Sept 26 indicates a competitive run at a big price may be coming.
3rd pick: #2 (Coronado Cool) (10-1) - Bred for the grass, filly tired after stalking the pace while racing between horses when debuting on the Del Mar lawn going a mile Sept 7. She's shortening up in distance and can be involved from start-to-finish in this spot.
4th pick: #8 (Good Looking) (12-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, she fits with her best, but needs to do better during the stretch run for anything more than a small slice.
