Home-bred broke her maiden here racing for $30K on the dirt Feb. 19, then finished second at this level in her first facing winners. Improving sort, Mitchell moves her to the grass and stretches her out in distance this afternoon. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Huntington Harbor) - Grey daughter of "Rockport Harbor" hasn't raced since late Oct. when she tired going "down the hill" here facing tougher. Traing fine for Bill Spawr, he drops her down and stretches her out for her first off the break. Lightly raced, she has ability and can fator if ready.
3rd pick: #8 (Fluxx) - Recent maiden winner did so as a heavy favorite racing on the dirt March 8th. Win came off a three-month layoff and trainer Pete Miller moves her to the grass for her first facing winners. She was competitive in a pair of starts last fall at Hollywood facing special weights when she was still a maiden.
