Top pick: #4 (NEXT RIGHT) - Speedy sort has been competitive in three straight sprints facing tougher since coming off a 9 1/2 month layoff Dec. 31. Trainer Mark Glatt brings him back in 11 days and has him taking a significant drop in class.
2nd pick: #3 (Alfiero) - He's another taking a big drop and this lightly raced gelding has shown high early speed in both heavily bet starts. Home bred 4-year-old should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #8 (Honey Fever) - Grey gelding hasn't seen action since a narrow loss at the old Hollywood Park in June of 2013. Trainer Bill Spawr has him working above average, drops him down, and adds blinkers. An obvious win candidate if ready.
4th pick: #5 (Eddie Would Go) - The field's lone debuter, 4-year-old has some very quick AM moves on view. Owned/trained/bred by Bruce Headley, gelding had a sharp 5-furlong gate breeze here on March 21st.
