Top pick: #7 (UP THE ALLEY) (8-1) - Price play comes off a very strong effort here on the dirt facing weaker on May 18. Claimed that day by Ron Ellis for $20K, he moves her up in class and switches her to the grass. Stalker is bred for the turf and has blinkers added.
nd pick: #1 (Woody's Wharf) (8-1) - She was only beaten 1 1/2 lengths racing here at this tag & trip on May 31. Nice effort came off a 6 1/2 month layoff, and daughter of grass champ "English Channel" breaks from the rail. Win candidate.
rd pick: #4 (Kristinite) (5-1) - I liked her last out, but she tired after chasing the pace while wide facing tougher. She had finished second in her previous outing racing for a $75K tag and drops to a new low this afternoon.
th pick: #8 (Nero's Pleasure) (6-1) - Lightly raced 4yo was sent hard from an outside post and tired after setting a pressured pace. Drops into a claimer for the first time, she's working fast, and is racing third back from an 8 1/2 month layoff.
th pick: #9 (Lamazone) (12-1) - From the same barn as "Nero" (John Sadler), she's been racing evenly in all her starts and is capable of getting a small slice at a big price.
