Top pick: #5 (TALL AND SWEET) (8-5) - Lightly-raced and well bred, filly is one of two entered by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. Daughter of "Lemon Drop Kid" hasn't raced since an easy win when she debuted at Los Alamitos Race Course Dec. 20. She rallied to win by 4 1/2 lengths over a filly that got her own maiden score next out. Working well locally, barn has her nicely spotted in her first facing winners.
2nd pick: #1 (All Star Bub) (3-1) - The second of the Hollendorfer pair, she finished an even third here at this level going a mile Jan. 4. It was her first since late October and first off a trainer change. Barn shortens her up today and she's a threat with her best.
3rd pick: #6 (Hennythelove Penny) (5-1) - She looked sharp when breaking her maiden here on Oct. 12 going 7 furlongs. Way overmatched in her next pair, trainer Peter Miller has her spotted where she's dangerous.
