2nd pick: #10 (Path of Exile) (6-1) - Calif. bred 4-year-old drops to a new low in this spot. He raced evenly going 5.5 furlongs facing tougher Dec. 7 at Los Alamitos in his first start since June 10. Gelding enters off a pair of fast local drills and draws a fine outside post this distance.
3rd pick: #3 (Is Trevor Clever) (4-1) - Lightly-raced and well bred, he's been competitive in both starts at this $20K price tag since coming off a 9.5 month layoff Nov. 24. In a top barn (Peter Miller) 5-year-old by 'Tale of the Cat' must be left in the mix.
