Top pick: #5 (DANI'S SIS) - Returns off a 8 1/2 month layoff and is training well for her return. Filly by "Skip Away" took some money in her debut and finished evenly after racing close up. Trainer Mike Puype is coming off the best year of his career and wins at a 23% rate off of long breaks. Gets the call in a tough race.
2nd pick: #6 (Coparcenary) - Well-bet in her debut up at Hastings Park in early May, she showed good early speed racing on a sloppy track and levelled off late in a useful first outing. Very good northwest based barn (Troy Taylor) has her working steadily and drop her into a cliamer off the eight month break. Taylor wins at a nice 20% clip off of long breaks. Price play.
3rd pick: #7 (Golden Nip) - Liked her a bit last time out, but she finished third without every threatening. Races today on real dirt for the first time and it needs to improve her a bit.
4th pick: #11 (Warren's Performer) - Interesting runner races off a four month break, is working well on this strip, and will drop into a claimer, shorten-up in distance, and race on conventional dirt for the first time.
