2nd pick: #5 (Woebegon) (4-1) - Mare missed by a "head" at Hollywood on Dec. 13th in her second off a seven week freshening. Speed/stalker has a fine record on conventional dirt (6-3-1-1), and has won two of three on this course. That latest was her best overall since last June, and veteran is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (With a Miracle) (5-2) - Very consistent mare has never won on real dirt, but has finished second in two of three on this main-track. She has back class, and has gone 4-1-3-0 since being claimed by trainer Ron Ellis for $25K in late July at Del Mar.
