2nd pick: #5 (Purdue) (4-1) - Lightly raced mare has been on the sidelines since May 12. Very fast from the gate, homebred is working steadily and is dangerous if ready off the nine-month layoff.
3rd pick: #8 (Daddy's Melody) (5-1) - She raced wide when finishing fourth only a 'head' behind 'Promesia' here at this level Jan 26. Her outside post at this 6.5-furlong distance is a plus and trainer Craig Dollase removes her blinkers.
4th pick: #4 (Encountress) (20-1) - Longshot shortens up after tiring here going a mile at this tag Jan. 30. Very sharp in her prior three sprints, she's from a sharp Los Al-based barn (Kelly Castaneda) and is capable of getting a share at a very big price.
