2nd pick: #8 (Big Base) (7-2) - Lightly-raced No. California shipper has been competitive in all three starts on the Tapeta surface at Golden Gate Fields. She finished 3rd there at this level Aug. 30 in her first since Dec. 2 and first following a Jerry Hollendorfer claim. A strong factor today.
3rd pick: #3 (Luv Is All U Need) (15-1) - Longshot has some speed and enters off a tiring effort as the favorite Sept. 8 at Los Alamitos. She broke poorly that day but had been sharper in her previous pair. Can grab a share with a repeat of either of those.
4th pick: #1 (Just Kathy) (7-2) - Tough call as she takes a big drop of a March 11 layoff. She showed little here last winter in her first pair facing tougher but is capable of factoring if ready.
