Top pick: #7 (CRUX) (5-2) - Useful debut here April 19 saw him tire late after pressing a fast pace while racing between horses almost the whole race. Good second out barn (Ron Ellis 26%) brings him back quickly, worked him April 29, and gelding by "Congrats" draws a nice outside post at this 6.5-furlong distance.
2nd pick: #6 (Sing With Bling) (6-1) - Longshot showed much improved speed in his second start, and has a pair of sharp works heading into this. Trainer Bill Spawr adds blinkers and Mike Smith stays aboard.
3rd pick: #4 (Chasintheaces) (7-2) - $300K son of "Indian Charlie" raced evenly when debuting here in early Jan. On the sidelines since, he's working very fast locally for his return, and trainer Bob Baffert wins at a 21% clip second time out.
4th pick: #3 (Quick and Silver) (15-1) - He goes turf to dirt and has both Lasix & blinkers added by trainer Rick Mandella. Grey son of "Dunkirk" races second back off a six-month break and should show whatever he has in this spot.
