Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (MERITOCRACY) (7-2) - She finished fourth of 10, beaten just over 3 lengths here facing tougher March 31. Home bred bobbled at the break and then had a wide trip in her first start since Jan. 18. She's back down in class, shortens up a bit in distance, and Raf Bejarano is aboard for the first time.
2nd pick: #5 (Appolina) (9-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, she set the pace before weakening to finish second for twice this tag when debuting in a 5 furlong 'off the turf' contest March 3. From the Baffert barn (29% second time out), she's an obvious win candidate at a short price.
3rd pick: #8 (Out of Control) (8-1) - Longshot drops after tiring while very wide when finishing 6.5 lengths behind 'Meritocracy' March 31 for twice this tag. Daughter of 'Papa Clem' draws outside of the other pace types and that should give rider Edwin Maldonado some early options.
4th pick: #6 (Curryforthree Bang) (15-1) - Another longshot, she has early speed and is training steadily for her first since tiring here Feb. 18. Both the 1-2 finishers that day both won next out and this filly is capable of factoring a very big price.
