Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (YOU MISSED IT) (5-2) - On the sidelines since early September, filly finished second that afternoon in a $100K stakes going a mile on the Del Mar turf. Competitive in all four starts, she's been working fast at Los Alamitos for her return.
2nd pick: #9 (Stormin Babe) (4-1) - Filly rallied to finish a non-threatening third here at this trip in an 'of the turf' contest Feb. 19. It was her first since late November and first on the west coast. Very sharp at Laurel in a trio of turf sprints and a win candidate today.
3rd pick: #5 (Up Front) (3-1) - Daughter of 'War Front' finished a pace-chasing fourth when debuting on the Del Mar grass going a mile Aug. 12. She cost $800,000 back in Jan of 2015 so there are some big expectations. Working fast and a big threat if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Hooriya) (8-1) - Filly sold for $290,000 as a 2-year-old in training back in May of 2016. She tired when debuting at this level in a dirt sprint Feb. 12 and trainer Bob Bafert (26% second time out) switches her to the turf. Look for an improved effort today.
