Trainer Mike Machowsky replaces apprentice Barnes with veteran Maldonado.
2nd pick: #2 (One Afleet Star) (9-2) - Filly tired here facing tougher when debuting May 30. She's worked twice since, and trainer Paulo Lobo drops her down in class for this assignment.
3rd pick: #1 (Latina Mo) (5-2) - Another taking a drop into claimers, she has early speed, and breaks from the rail. At this reduced level, daughter of 'Uncle Mo' should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #3 (Spark Plug Katie) (5-1) - She was never involved last out after being 'bumped' heavily at the start. She's worked fast three times since, but this race drew very tough for the claiming price. She needs to beak running and stay on better.
