Top pick: #4 (WHISKEY WILD) (6-5) - The probable favorite, he rallied to finish a close up second here at this level going 6-furlongs Jan. 11. A career best, the figure earned towers over these if repeatable. He's worked well since his last race and the extra 1/16th he travels today is in his favor.
2nd pick: #6 (Congrats Seattle) (5-2) - He's cutting back in distance and dropping in class. Gelding raced evenly while very wide here Dec. 28 and is spotted this afternoon where he's a win threat.
3rd pick: #2 (Fabber) (6-1) - Gelding by "Macho Uno" had a useful debut when he finished an even fourth here at this level Jan. 2 going 5.5-furlongs. He's worked since and can grab a share with normal second-out improvement.
4th pick: #5 (Chuck's Chuckle) (8-1) - He raced evenly when debuting at Del Mar in late Nov. facing tougher. Freshened up since he returns as a new gelding and with blinkers on. Barn drops him down and he may get a piece of this at a big price.
