Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (WISE TALE) (8-5) - One of two entered by trainer Doug O'Neill and this one is the probable favorite. Gelding has been competitive in three of four, the last pair of those going a mile. Speed/stalker shortens up and is meeting a weak looking group.
2nd pick: #8 (Slobbernocker) (7-2) - One of three making their debuts, grey gelding has some sharp works showing over at San Luis Rey Downs. He draws a nice outside post for this distance and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Fireball) (12-1) - Long shot is another making his first start. He's by a better than average first out sire ('Heatseeker') and trainer Barry Abrams is capable with debuting stock (22%).
4th pick: #1 (Crushin Candy) (4-1) - He tired after a poor start when debuting last June. Colt took some money that day and he faced much tougher. Working very fast for his return, his connections drop him in class.
