This $150K purchase has worked here five times since Dec. 6, the latest three of those being on the very quick side. Baffert wins at a 30% rate first out and a 31% clip when riding Drayden Van Dyke.
2nd pick: #1 (Show Time Rocket) (7-2) - The second of the Baffert pair, colt sold for $400,000 as a 2-year-old in training last April. Trainer has worked him four straight times going 6 furlongs with a pair of those coming from the gate. It's noted that the very selective Victor Espinoza is aboard.
3rd pick: #5 (Route Six Six) (9-2) - This son of 'Quality Road' raced evenly when debuting going 7 furlongs here Dec. 26. He cost $340,000 last March and he worked a bullet half-mile here Jan. 5. Look for a much better effort in this spot.
