Top pick: #3 (SPRING BLOOM) (2-1) - The probable favorite, lightly-raced home-bred broke her maiden on the Hollywood turf Nov. 15, then just missed at this level there on Dec. 7 in her first facing winners. Freshened up since then, 4-year-old is working sharply and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Always a Chance) (5-2) - Consistent filly has improved since moving to the grass and when last in action she finished third at this level at Hollywood going a mile on Nov. 11. Working steadily since and her best ever came in a win on this course Oct. 18.
3rd pick: #6 (Chimi Dee) (9-2) - The type that can "run all day," she'll have no problem handling this longer distance. She's won on this course before and is a stretch threat at a square price.
5th pick: #5 (Party With Brando) (10-1) - Longshot has never won on the grass, but is another that won't have an issue with this distance and veteran mare is working nicely for her first race since Dec. 7. Could grab a share and may me the longest price in this field.
