By far a career best, it was her first following a Genaro Vallejo claim. She's nicely spotted and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Batiquitos) (8-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, she scored in her well bet debut here last March, then just missed in a grass sprint Nov. 17 at Del Mar. Back on the dirt, speed/stalker has the rail and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Red Stich) (9-2) - Mare has some nice local works showing for her first since Nov. 1. Her lack of early speed will likely limit her to a minor award with a late close.
