Top pick: #2 (POWER JAM) (7-5) - Grey ridgeling is one of two that are debuting from the Bob Baffert barn. Home bred has some very quick works showing from Los Alamitos, and his main rider at this point (Marty Garcia) is aboard this one.
2nd pick: #6 (Wolf Man Rocket) (3-1) - The second of the Baffert duo, son of 'Mineshaft" cost $550,000 last April as a 2yo in training. He's another drilling fast at Los Alamitos and may have outworked 'Power Jam' by just a bit on Feb. 8th.
3rd pick: #3 (Moe Candy) (5-2) - Grey son of 'Candy Ride' has some quick a.m. works right here at Santa Anita. In a capable first out barn (John Sadler 19%), this colt looks like the best alternative to the Baffert pair.
4th pick: #4 (Action Hero) (6-1) - Away slowly when debuting here on Jan. 3rd, he did make up some ground during the stretch run. Well bred colt may grab a share at a square price.
