Top pick: #7 (COURAGEOUS CALL) (5-2) - Lightly raced mare has done all of her best racing locally (7-3-2-1) and enters off a wire-to-wire win at this level going 6-furlongs March 21. She had to be sent hard that day from her inside post and held gamely despite constant pace pressure. Capable of stalking, and her outside draw is a plus at this 6.5-furlong trip.
2nd pick: #6 (Pica) (6-1) - She ran wide before making a bid that saw her level off in the final furlong to finish almost 3-lengths back of 'Courageous Call' March 21. One run type is capable with her best, and trainer Pete Miller ads blinkers (a 19% winning move by the barn).
3rd pick: #1 (Shakeitupbetty) (3-1) - Consistent filly was only a 1/2 length back of 'Courageous Call' last out. Strong finisher has worked since and draws a ground saving post. Stretch threat.
4th pick: #5 (Swissarella) (8-1) - Consistent facing weaker, she's gone 5-2-2-0 since early Dec. Cal bred is facing a much tougher group and moving in with 'open' company. Unless she improves, a small slice is her ceiling.
