Top pick: #4 (LIGHT STRIKER) (6-5) - The probable favorite, she finished fourth here for a $20K tag going a mile Feb 27. It was her second since coming west from Remington Park last fall and she was claimed that afternoon by Ron Ellis. Freshened up for the past five weeks, he brings her back under the purchase price. Stalker is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Vegas Bound) (4-1) - Filly moves from turf to dirt and is dropping back down in class. That March grass race was her best since coming back from a long layoff in mid-December and sets her up well for this attempt.
3rd pick: #1 (Alice Roadtrain) (5-1) - Lightly-raced filly stretches out in distance and breaks from the rail. Fits with her best figure and think she'll be sent right to the front. Has a shot at a square price.
4th pick: #2 (Private Marina) (7-2) - Recent maiden winner has improved noticeably since blinkers went on two back. Grey filly has been much sharper from the gate, and her maiden win going a mile Feb 22 was done rather easily. Her early speed must be respected.
