The latest of those came when he went wire-to-wire to win the G2 San Pasqual here going 8.5 furlongs Jan 1. The main speed, he has the rail and the main question is the longer distance.
2nd pick: #3 (Shaman Ghost) (5-2) - He's won over $3M with a lot of that coming when he won the rich Queen's Plate at this distance on the all weather surface at Woodbine in early July of 2015. Stronach home bred won the G1 Woodward Stakes Sept. 3 at Saratoga and last out finished second in the $12,000,000 Pegasus World Classic at Gulfstream Jan. 28. A serious win candidate in is west coast debut.
3rd pick: #8 (Hi Happy) (12-1) - Lasix is added to Argentine import who won thre straight Group 1 stakes in his home country before coming here. Rounding to form and believe hecan factor at a big price.
4th pick: #9 (Imperative) (5-1) - He's capable of big efforts now and then but his problem has been inconsistency. A fast and/or contested pace would help him out.
