Bet down to 7-2 in a large field (11), he rated early, bid when asked, then drew clear to score by 2.5 lengths in god time 1:23.80. He's worked fast twice since and I like his chances despite the big move up in class.
2nd pick: #6 (Green With Eddie) (8-1) - A stakes winner last August at Del Mar he's an uncoupled stablemate of 'B Squared.' Colt tired here March 17 when returning from a 7.5 month layoff in a race he probably needed. He's worked well since and should be much fitter for this attempt.
3rd pick: #8 (California Diamond) (5-2) - The morning line and probable heavy favorite, multiple stakes winner has gone 10-5-5-0 so far and is four for five on the main track here. Freshened up since Jan. 28, speed/stalker is working above average and is an obvious win candidate at a short price.
4th pick: #1 (Will Tell) (10-1) - Since coming of almost an eight month layoff Feb. 9, he's won two of three and finished second in his lone defeat. Stalker has the rail and could grab a share at a big price.
