Top pick: #1 (TUCKER'S POINT) (3-1) - Gelding comes off a solid effort at Los Alamitos Oct. 2 when he raced wide while pressing the pace before weakening slightly to finish fourth. He has the rail, has won here twice in the past, and he gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Diamondsdiplomat) (5-2) - Golden Gate shipper missed by a "neck" there going a mile on the grass Sept. 14. It was only his second since April 13, and he's worked well locally since heading south. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Harlington Light) (3-1) - He was a winner on Sept. 7 racing at this tag & trip at Los Alamitos. He followed that up with an even effort there facing tougher Sept. 20 and drops back down for this attempt.
4th pick: #7 (Warren's Cole) (10-1) - Speedy sort is stretching out in distance and ships from Los Alamitos in very sharp form. He's a bit on the "cheap" side, but his early speed in this pace-less field is a plus.
