Top pick: #1 (AQUA REVELATION) (5-2) - The probable favorite, home-bred by grass champ "English Channel" has gone 3-0-2-1 at this level on the grass after coming off a 17 1/2 month layoff Nov. 11th. Has a stalking style, draws the rail, and trainer Bob Baffert adds blinkers (a 29% winning angle).
2nd pick: #3 (Apostle Paul) (6-1) - His entire career has been spent on the turf (14-0-4-1), and gelding has finished second in three of seven locally. He was only a 1/2 back of "Revelation" here at this distance on Feb. 16th, and will be a much longer price than that rival.
3rd pick: #5 (Warrior's Ridge) (3-1) - Once promising son of "War Chant" was injured during the late summer of 2012 and did not race again until this past Dec. He ran second here going "down the hill" Feb. 21st, and will be stretching out in distance today.
4th pick: #4 (Misdeed) (9-2) - Gelding by "Rock Hard Ten" fits with his best, but tends to race evenly, and has broken poorly in three of his last four. Blinkers go on and trainer Rick Mandella has him making back-to-back starts for the first time in a year. Dangerous with a "clean" getaway.
