Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (ANYQUESTIONS) (6-1) - Longshot raced both wide and evenly when beaten just over six lengths going a mile here for a $40K tag Jan. 15. It was his first since coming here from the NYRA circuit, and the additional furlong he travels in this one is in his favor.
2nd pick: #2 (Saltini) (7-2) - Very lightly raced 5yo has been freshened up for the past two months. He rallied while wide to miss by a length at this level going a mile that afternoon in his first facing winners. Well bred, he broke his maiden at this nine-furlong trip Oct. 20. A stretch threat.
3rd pick: #5 (Mongolian Greywolf) (3-1) - Grey colt makes his West Coast debut and whips from Kentucky off a pair of back-to-back 3rd place finishes in first-level allowances. He has early speed and runs with blinkers on for this attempt.
4th pick: #3 (Eldritch) (10-1) - Irish bred spent the first part of his career racing in England. He went 6-2-2-0 there racing on both turf and 'poly' and was away slowly when beaten by five lengths Nov. 25 at Del Mar in his No. American debut. Grey gelding was in a top barn overseas (John Gosden), and he should love this nine-furlong distance.
