Top pick: #3 (TIZ A MINISTER) (6-5) - Colt has been competitive in all seven starts and will go from "poly" to turf after finishing 4th of 11, beaten 2 1/2 lengths going 7 furlongs at Hollywood Park in a $200K stakes Dec. 16. 3-year-old ran second here at this trip in his only previous grass race and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Greeley Awesome) (8-5) - Much improved of late, he was an impressive maiden winner at Hollywood on Nov. 30 racing for a $40K tag and race evenly while having traffic woes in the same Oct. 6 grass contest as "Minister." Speedy and he's win candidate from on, or just off the lead.
3rd pick: #5 (Generally Ours) (15-1) - Longshot Has a bit of talent and will be moving the turf and stretching out in distance, both for the first time. He has a fast work six days ago and may grab a minor award at a big price.
