Mare has been competitive in all four starts facing tougher since coming of an eight month layoff in late August and should beat these with a clean break and trip.
2nd pick: #8 (Road Test) (5-1) - Grey filly switches back to the grass after finishing second at this tag and trip on the Del Mar dirt Nov. 16. Stalker has been competitive in both previous grass starts and each were against tougher.
3rd pick: #3 (Hotsy Dotsy) (12-1) - Longshot switches from dirt to turf for her first facing winners. She was an easy winner at this distance on the Los Al dirt for a $20K tag Dec. 9 and her best previous figures on grass could land her a share at a big price.
4th pick: #9 (Quinn Murphy) (9-2) - Her outside and lack of early speed makes her case tough but not impossible. Stretch runner fits, but will need a fast and/or contested pace for her best chance at the top spot.
