Top pick: #3 (BLUE LAW) (5-2) - Lightly-raced grey colt enters off a second place finish here at this level going a mile Jan. 31. He defeated the majority of this field that afternoon while running a career best. It was his first on the grass and he's the horse to beat.
nd pick: #1 (Rockin Robin) (4-1) - He finished a pace-setting second here at this distance on Jan. 4, but raced both wide and evenly last out. He was 8 lengths back of "Blue Law" that afternoon and spent the first 1/4 mile fighting his rider. Has the rail and is a threat to go gate-to-wire.
rd pick: #10 (Milton) (9-2) - Well bred gelding finished an even fourth last out while 5 back of "Blue Law." A career best and it was his first on the grass. He should enjoy this longer distance.
th pick: #11 (Nakomoto) (8-1) - Colt showed talent on the grass last year as a 2-year-old but did not run well in his 3-year-old debut in the same last race as the top three selections. It was his first race in four months and he should move forward off of it.
th pick: #9 (Solomon Northup) (10-1) - He was away slowly in the same Jan. 31 race as the other picks and ran evenly once in stride. Colt was improving in Ireland prior to that and may grab a share at a big price.
