A career best, it came in her second back from a long layoff. Trainer Len Powell drops her price in half and removes her blinkers. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (L X Sunrise) (3-1) - Filly has finished second in seven of eight local dirt starts. Stalker missed by a 1/2 length here at this tag going 6-furlongs on Jan. 15. It was her best since May and the extra 1/16th she travels today is in her favor.
3rd pick: #6 (Take it Slowly) (5-1) - Very lightly-raced, she's racing first off a John Sadler claim (22%) and a subsequent 6 1/2 month layoff. Filly is working well at San Luis Rey Downs and can factor if ready.
4th pick: #7 (Here Comes Bobbie) (10-1) - "Bobbie" finished a close up fourth here at this tag going 5.5-furlongs on Jan. 3. She had a tough outside post and had to race wide before moving in turning for home. Must be left in the mix, but the top two selections are more likely to win this.
