Top pick: #6 (Locked) (7-2) - Sired by Gun Runner, this horse has won two straight at one and 1 1/6 of a mile. Locked overcame a wide trip from the #9 position to win the Grade 1 Breeders' Futurity last month. Getting the sixth position in this race is a bonus.
2nd pick: #2 (Prince of Monaco) (4-1) - Bob Baffert's two-year old colt started running in July and is 3-for-3. Prince of Monaco comes off a September victory at the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity. It wasn't quite a record-setting 7 furlong win at 1:22.65 but it was still an impressive showing. This horse has tremendous upside and is primed for another strong showing under jockey Flavien Prat.
3rd pick: #4 (Timberlake) (4-1) - This two-year old colt is a big, strong horse with speed and stamina. Timberlake took the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes the last time out with impressive speed numbers on a sloppy surface. He grabbed the lead at the eighth pole and drew away to win by 4 1/4 lengths.
4th pick: #8 (General Partner) (8-1) - General Partner heads west after two strong showings at Belmont and Saratoga. This two-year old colt won a Maiden Special Weight at 7 furlongs, then finished second in the Champagne Stakes to Timberlake when stretched out to a mile.
