Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (FLASH OF WONDER) (3-1) - Filly runs for the world class Stonerstreet Stables and cost them $290,000 as a yearling back in the fall of 2014. Competitive in all four dirt starts, she's racing off a two month break and is on the grass for the first time. Bred to handle it, stalker is the horse to beat.
nd pick: #2 (Tuk Tuk) (9-2) - Well bred filly ships from the Fair Grounds where she rallied to finish sixth of 10, beaten three lengths. It was her first on the turf and a career best to date. Daughter of 'Ghostzapper' is dangerous against this overall weak field for the level.
rd pick: #1 (Imalwayshotforyou) (10-1) - Long shot has raced evenly in a pair of dirt sprints to begin her career. Capable barn (Eric Reed) ships her down from Mahoning Valley and has her on the grass and attempting a two turn distance, both for the first time. Reed has Deshawn Parker aboard and they've won at a 24% rate when teamed up over the past 13 months.
th pick: #5 (Dixie Flag) (12-1) - Farish home bred has been on the sidelines since late August. She had all sorts of traffic issues when debuting in a Lone Star Park dirt sprint July 11, then clipped heels and fell at Remington Park in her grass debut Aug 29. May grab a share at a big price if she has a 'trouble free' start and journey.
th pick: #4 (Heart Broken) (20-1) - Away slowly when debuting July 17 in a Lone Star Park grass sprint, she raced evenly once in stride from a tough outside post (12th of 12). Filly ships in from Delta Downs off of some sharp works and races with blinkers on.
