2nd pick: #8 (Sexy Dance) (3-1) - Lightly-raced, she rallied to miss by a 'neck' here Feb 12 and was 1.5 lengths in front of 'Blingin Rose'. It was only her second start and first ever on the grass. An obvious strong win candidate at a short price.
3rd pick: #1 (Smileswinningsong) (4-1) - Home bred finished second here at this level and distance Feb 6. It was her first on the grass and a huge improvement over her dirt debut Jan 18. 3-year-old has the rail and can factor with a repeat of her last effort.
4th pick: #10 (Sky Hi Sugar) (8-1) - Longshot stalked, bid to a daylight lead, then weakened to finish third, splitting 'Sexy Dance' and 'Blingin Rose' in the process. It was her first at Sam Houston after racing at bigger venues and she can be a threat if able to avoid a wide trip.
5th pick: #4 (Heaven's Devil) (6-1) - She rallied to check in third here Feb 6 and was only a 'neck' behind 'Smileswinning Song.' However, she has more starts than that rival and less room for upside. Stretch runner would love a fast and/or contested pace to develop.
