Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (R T C DERBY GIRL) (7-2) - Speed/stalker has been competitive in five of her last six and has finished second here in two of her last three here at this level. The 3yo breaks just off the rail and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #10 (Soaring Lil Sass) (4-1) - Stalker has early some good positional speed and has been competitive in three of four here since returning from a 4.5-month layoff Aug. 24. I like her post in this field and think she's a serious looking foe.
3rd pick: #4 (Between the Arches) (2-1) - Lightly-raced, she's dropping in class, switching from turf to dirt, and is cutting back in distance. The 4yo is an obvious win candidate but is no 'lock' at a short price.
4th pick: #9 (She's Earthbound) (5-1) - Competitive in three of his last four, the 4yo has a stalking style and is shortening up a furlong. Capable of impacting, but she needs to do better for any chance at wining this.
5th pick: #8 (Oklahoma Carol) (15-1) - She enters off an even effort here at this level Oct. 31. Lightly-raced and bred for speed, believe she has more to her than shown to date and may factor at a big price.
