2nd pick: #3 (Bernie the Jet) (4-1) - Speedy sort exits the same last race as "Gaelico" and tired late to finish five lengths back of that rival. Colt was racing off a 70 day freshening ad should be a bit sharper this evening.
3rd pick: #1 (Waronthehomefront) (2-1) - Old-timer has won 12 of 34 overall but it's his grass record that sticks out 12-7-2-2. Speed/stalker is working nicely for his first start since last Nov and he draws the rail. Gelding by "War Front' fits with his best but gives away a big recency edge to the top two selections.
